During my maternity leave with my second son people often encouraged me to go the local church with the baby and hang out with the other mothers - but to be honest the last thing I wanted to do was hanging around other woman chatting about diapers and stuff...after all this was my second baby (sort of done talking about diapers by then) and I was also in the middle of starting up ZenTV.
But on the very last day of my maternity leave it was raining sideways and I was getting really bored at home so I decided to visit the church after all. Upon arrival I heard the laughters and baby giggles and when I entered the room I almost had a heartattach - OMG only in Scandinavia - around the table sat 8 handsome (we are talking Scandinavian handsome!!!!) men...I repeat: MEN!!!! (could someone please wipe the drool off my chin...thank you...). Had I only known...
Living in a country where both parents are encouraged to play an important role in the child's first years, is a luxury one should never take for granted (I had my first child in New York where I stayed at home for 3 months and then handed over to the full time nanny...what a concept)!
I think it is time we bring some Scandinavian Zense into this world...(hey that sounds like a job for ZenTV...check out our mission)
Enjoy you day dear frinds!
